I just discovered that for the past three years my husband has been putting powder dishwashing detergent into the rinse agent receptacle of our dishwasher instead of the detergent receptacle. That probably explains why I have a white powdery residue on the inside of my dishwasher. I could trade him in but he cooks two nights a week so he comes with benefits.
