Art by Perry McEwen:  Perry works from her home and studio in Guelph, Ontario where she produces unique pieces using strong primary colours. Her art is uplifting, whimsical and memorable.

Women Reading Great Books: This is a Facebook site whose title is self-explanatory. Members recommend and ask about books, many of them current best-sellers but it’s also a great place to discover otherwise obscure books you might enjoy and would not be aware of otherwise. There are a lot of postings and many are a waste of time, but overall it’s great fun.

A Well-Styled Life: by professional stylist Jennifer Connolly for women over 50. Good solid fashion advice for boomer women.

High Heels in the Wilderness: by retired Ottawa high school English teacher Sue Burpee. Tuned in to Canadian retailers and has excellent taste with a dash of flair. Her budget is a bit higher than the average women but her advice is relevant and relatable.

Susan After 60: Susan Street offers insightful advice about dressing for our body type. Her taste is conservative and she shares helpful information about the fashion mistakes she’s made to help us avoid them.

Une femme d’un certain Ãge: by another Susan. She visits Paris regularly and shares her fashion and travel wardrobe tips. Not always my taste but she’s a loyal Eileen Fisher fan and I love her site. Good, solid information.

Woman of a Certain Age in Paris: Diana Bishop is another Canadian who loves Paris. It’s also worth noting she’s the granddaughter of WWI ace fighter pilot Billy Bishop. She makes regular trips to Paris and shares her love of all things French.

The Accidental Icon: Lyn Slater is a beautiful lady, a New York City retired university professor and a brave fashionista. Love her style and her site.

More Than Turquoise: Jamie Lewinger’s style has a definite southwestern U.S. flavour but she sports some great outfits that remind us to introduce colour and statement pieces into our look. She sometimes posts pictures that include her dogs too which is always fun.

ShopStyle.com or Shopstyle.ca They monitor all the major retailers for the best prices and notify you when something you’ve flagged comes on sale. I’ve scored designer brands at up to 70% off.
