New and improved

31235531I didn’t think it was possible but my Mississauga Library card (mentioned in an earlier “My Favourite Things” post) just got even better. Using the Zinio app I can now download magazines – free!!  For someone who subscribes to 17 magazines a month, that’s a very big deal. A woman’s prayer

The other day I was cleaning things out and came across this prayer I had put on the wall of my office back when I was doing the corporate thing and I would wrap my desk in yellow CAUTION tape when I was having a bad day. Walkin’ tall with my Louis

Whoever said looks don’t count was lying. And whoever said first impressions do count was absolutely bang on. Perversely, this has proven to apply to the purses we carry. When I retired, instead of presenting me with a boring gold watch, my employer surprised me with my very first and still favourite designer purse. I’d carried a picture of it around with me for weeks before I left and planned to blow my entire last paycheque on it. (more…)
